Rare NPSH Interview Surfaces Online

Our friends at Above the Fold have recently finished an interview video that we did waaaay back in August of last year. I remember it very clearly... it was a warm summer's night in East Lansing, Michigan. Fireflies were buzzing about as music billowed from the nearby clubs. There was an palpable energy in the air as people strolled the idyllic college town streets in search of a good time. We were antsy to go onstage, but still had hours to kill. This vid brings back fond summer memories of a time when our only care in the world was what to wear. . .

Fact: In 9th grade my friend and I made a video for a math project where we had spoon puppets that looked like our classmates and a portrait of Conan in our tiny fictional living room. I think we rode into the living room on a My Little Pony or something.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Valentines day gets a lot of flack for being all made up as an evil ploy to get our money via candy and cards and make us miserable if we are "alone". But the way I see it, this is a holiday about LOVE, and we are rarely alone there. For example, NPSH loves each other as band mates and friends, and we LOVE YOU TOO!!!! So please, if you are not already taken, be our valentine???


Also, I've been thinking about it, and these days it is especially easy to make Valentines Day about loving the world at large and helping people. Breast cancer awareness products are PINK, and (RED) products are... RED. So how appropriate is that? Very appropriate. If you didn't know, pink and red are pretty popular colors on Valentines Day.

So as Rachel Dratch says so eloquently in the first season of 30 Rock, "Heppy Valentimes!." That was the episode where Jack finally got divorced and then ruined Tracy's special night with his wife.

P.S. We went to see Lykke Li last night. She is so great!

I used to have the BIGGEST crush on Sherri Dupree from Eisley (the one on the left in the vid). I mean, how can you not fall in love with that slow-motion-microphone-make-out singing technique? It was love at first sight. But that was many years ago... They just came up on my iTunes shuffle, so I had to revisit the lovely Eisley and share with y'all.

And how about Blink 182 getting back together!? I cheated and read about that on Perez Hilton last night. I think that Travis's near death experience taught them that life is too short and they need to put their differences behind them and give the people what they want.

I'm like a real blogger right now, updating about the Grammys while I'm still watching them. Good for me.

Preggers MIA is on, I better devote my full attention to the TV :)

Are you gonna watch the Grammys?

Will MIA actually perform tonight, 9 months pregnant?? That is the burning question. I'm sure we'll see a lot of Rihannas and Kid Rocks and Foo Fighters tonight. We always do. I think Taylor Swift is performing. I look forward to that. lolllll. Have fun.

p.s. - I heard that Paramore is opening for No Doubt on their summer tour!!! How cool is that? Looking forward to that too.
