While it seems much of the world is loosing faith in the album (Sufjan?!), we still think they're pretty alright. Here is what we have dug this year in case you would like to know. Late of the Pier's album was released in the UK in 2008, but it was released in the US in January 2009.

yo david. miike snow is my album of the year too. great great album. kid cudi and the xx are in my top 5 as well. chester french's debut album and mayer hawthorne's a strange arrangement round up my top 5 of the year.

To Hen: yes, Miike Snow is amaaazzzzinngg! i listened to that everyday for probably close to a month after it came out and still a lot after that. i didn't really get into either Chester French or Mayer Hawthorne's but i've heard lots of good stuff so i'll definitely check them out.

It will be great to watch Marilyn Manson, i have bought tickets from looking forward to it.
